Intensive surveillance after death of over 5,000 chickens in Cuddalore’s poultry farms

The possibility of avian influenza has been ruled out. Official sources said the deaths were first reported at a poultry farm in Thammanampettai village in Thiyagavalli panchayat, where about 200 to 250 chickens died.
